A comprehensive effort

The certification covers Enter’s operations in full. Meeting the requirements of the certification was a joint effort of the entire staff. Enter’s extensive operating history and in-depth expertise in information-security-critical environments allowed the project to be carried out efficiently: the implementation of the entire management system and the official certification process were completed in less than six months. The certification achieved also shows Enter’s readiness to meet the requirements of the European Union’s NIS2 cybersecurity directive, which will enter into force in October 2024.

The key tool in implementing the information security management system used by Enter was the Digiturvamalli (Cybersecurity model) service. Enter is a reseller and expert partner of the Digiturvamalli service.

Solid information security processes

Obtaining the ISO 27001 certificate required development measures in Enter’s already robust data protection and information security management processes. During the project, Enter focused particularly on the following areas:

Risk management: Potential information security risks were identified and assessed, and strategies were developed to manage them. Stakeholders and Enter’s role in various supply chains were reviewed particularly extensively.

Streamlining processes: Process analysis and optimization were used to improve efficiency and reduce the possibility of information security breaches.

Staff training: The entire organization’s skills and information security awareness were improved with continuous training and communication, as well as operating guidelines adapted to increasingly diverse event scenarios.
